NROC
National Repository for Online Courses (NROC)
Partnerships for Innovation has purchased an annual membership to the National Repository for Online Courses (NROC) through the 2012 school year.
NROC is a highly interactive, multimedia-rich bank of online courses that can be used for dual, blended, or online credit and/or as enrichment in traditional secondary and postsecondary classrooms across Nebraska.
For free access to these resources, please visit HippoCampus and click on your favorite subject matter. Some institutions across the state are hosting the NROC material on their servers and providing access. Being a host site allows you to have the podcasts and test banks that are not available on the HippoCampus site. If your institution would like to be a host site, please contact Erika Volker at PFI.
Partnerships for Innovation suggests that faculty become familiar with the material and utilization in Learning Management Systems over the next three years. During this time, PFI will work to address social authoring and statewide curriculum alignment.
Professional development and training is available through the Distance Learning Council and local Educational Service Units. Please contact Gordon Roethemeyer or Mary Schegelmilch for more information on training.
