Use your strengths to become a great leader!

Leadership now! is unique among leadership training programs:

• Marries Kouzes and Posner’s (2008) empowering model of exemplary leadership with The Gallup Organization’s (2007, 2009) research into classifying and leveraging personal strengths
• Assessment of current leadership effectiveness, identification of personal strengths, plus a practical, hands-on project in which participants generate specific, positive change in their departments, organizations, or communities
• Guidance from an American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) certified executive coach
• Taps insights, inspiration, resources and support from a state-wide community of peers

This training is for you if:

• You want to become a leader in your work group, program, college or community
• You have leadership abilities, but aren’t sure how to harness them
• You are new to a leadership role

This training is for:

• First-time Supervisors and/or Administrators
• Staff and Faculty who want to effectively improve their school and community
• Anyone who wants to be a more effective leader

What Do I Need To Know?

The Leadership Now! package includes all you need to teach leadership skills to staff or students—lectures, handouts, surveys, and instructions. There are several delivery options to choose from, depending on your needs, preferred class, and budget.

How much does it cost?

The curriculum is free to all Nebraska educators. Each participant will complete the Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment, included with the purchase of Strengths Based Leadership, the recommended textbook for the course. All materials can be downloaded at no cost.

Who should participate in Leadership Now!

Anyone interested in honing their leadership skills will gain from this training. Because the training is spread over several months, and includes opportunities to practice each skill as it is learned, it is especially useful for individuals just moving into a leadership role, or who hope to in the near future. It is also appropriate for groups of student leaders.
